When we talk about Plant Nutrition, (in the Hydroponic instance), there are a magnitude of brands, categories and uses.
We start with Base Nutrients first. This group is usually labelled with the name - "Vega" meaning vegetive growth, "Flores" meaning bloom or flowering.
These nutrients are produced according to a plants needs eg. vegetive growth requires a higher Nitrogen, where as flowering requires Potassium & Phosphorous.
These nutrients can come either as a single part or a two part (A+B) system. It is entirely up to the user which way to go.
Additives come in many formulations with each targeting a specific purpose for example: An additive containing "Enzymes". Helps to break down dead root tissues converting into useable nutrition for the plant. Potassium silicate or silica is used to strengthen stems & add vital weight to the finished flower. Superphosphoric Acid is used to dramaticly increase plant mass & is used the third week of vegetive growth.
Here at "Green Acres Hydroponics" We stock just about every nutrient & additive system currently available in Australia today.
